Dim 2400 - adding an additional DVD drive query

    Hi

    New poster here hope someone can help

    I have just bought a Sony AW G170 DVD writer (OEM) and installed as per the instructions in my Dell manual

    Now the original CD drive has disappeared (was d:/) and the new drive doesn't seem to be picking up what it is (although an e:/ is showing)

    I assume I've done something very basic wrong. Have checked the power and data cables and they are firmly in place.
