disc drive disabled?

hey there..im new to this. lol

the problem is:

i have a phillips iQon, and the disc drive was working fine for the first few days and then nothing. Now, it doesnt even accept disc, if i put a disc in, whether its a CD, DVD, software or just a blank it wont even try to read it, i havent gotta clue what it could be.
i dont even know if i could access something to see any details?

any help at all would be appreciated.
