Does the new WPA slow transfer speeds by half, like WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) ?

  1. This basically only affects your local computer-to-computer transfers.

    But does anyone know ???

If both computers are wireless, you should expect the transfer to be cut
in half, WPA or not. 802.11(b and g) are half-duplex transmissions and
two transmissions are required to get from computer "A" to base station
to computer "B". Since there can't be simultaneous transmissions, the
complete transfer takes twice as long.
