DOS Boot from a CF-card PCMCIA adapter...

Discussion in 'Laptops' started by TC Martindale, Sep 12, 2003.

  1. I have read posts from people who've been able to boot to DOS from a
CF card in a PCMCIA adapter, but for some reason I can't get it to
work. I formatted the CF card on another machine (under Win98) with
system files and all. If I bring the laptop (an IBM 560x) up in
Win2000, the card is recognized. But if I change the boot order and
hit the PCMCIA slots first, the cursor just sits there and blinks and
    never actually boots.

    Is there something I'm forgetting?
