DQ965GF and IDU (Intel Desktop Utility)

A friend of mine just purchased a new system. The system has an Intel
DQ965GF motherboard. It came with IDU (Intel Desktop Utility) v3.0. It
looks like IDU has the capability of monitoring processor temp,
voltages and fan speeds. However, none of these sensors show up on the
    IDU.

I've looked over some of the Intel support pages. But, so far I
    haven't found anything.

Is there a Bios setting that needs changed to enable these functions?

    TIA

Check out this page on the Intel site.
You may have to upgrade to a newer version or try the Intel Active Monitor
    instead.

The support documents make mention of having to reload the SW if you change
    fans.
