Dual Opteron [S2880] power-up problem

    Mobo: Tyan Thunder K8S - S2880

    CPU1: installed AMD 242 Opteron
    CPU2: none
    Memory: installed DIMM1 Infineon PC2100R
    (256Mb,DDR,133Mhz,CL2,ECC,Reg)
    Power Supply: A+GPB Power 500W EPS-12V
    (Tested OK, stand-alone by vendor)

    Problem:
    On power-on, the KBD leds flash once, the CPU fan
    and the PS fan do not start, no beeps from POST.

    How should I proceed to test this situation?
    Is this a mobo short or CPU short?

    Thanks for any suggestions

    Hi, check the manual, you must have single Opteron in right socket with AGP
    support.
