EA games reports 3.2GHz PC as minus 1147 Mhz - and crashes! What gives?

    See below for Electronic Arts' "Easy Info" - game won't play, and
    reports my PC as being below spec after installation?

    In some situations, there are older diagnostic (and other) applications that
    are incapable of functioning properly with a hyperthreading processor. They
    were not programmed for a multi-processor environment. Using one of the
    P4 HT CPU's and Win2K-SP4 or WinXP?
