EPOX 8RDA3+ Serial port cable connection?

    Hi,
    just went to plug in the add on serial port cable for an Epox 8RD3A+ board,
    when looking at the board in the case the ports are on the bottom of the
    board, should the red part of the ribbon be on the left or the right? I
    presume the red is pin 1? IF so is pin 1 on the left?

    Pin 1 is on the left as you described or to the rear of the PC. And yes the
    red strip on the ribbon goes to pin 1.

    I have an 8RDA+ and it is marked there's a "1" on the board but it's kind of
    hard to see. The red stripe goes on the side where the one is.
