I just fired up my machine, everything goes fine to the opening screen
where it tells me to hit Del to go into setup. The problem is that the
lights on the keyboard momentarily flash and then go out right before
that screen comes up, and then the keyboard isn't detected, so hitting
Del does nothing. What's the fix?

    Thanks in advance...

  2. If you do nothing, does the monitor display any messages, if so what?

You do not say whether your keyboard is connected via PS/2 or USB. It
would be better to use PS/2.

Did you clear CMOS after building and before booting for the first time?
