My current set up is as follows:
Gigabyte g4 7n400 pro 2
amd xp 3000+
512mb ram
60gb ide hdd
dvd/cd drive
64 ati saphire
I currently have no operating system installed on the hard drive. The hard drive for some reason is recognised as a slave instead of master, I have changed all the jumper settings on the hard drive but it is always recognised as a slave. I have a dvd/cd drive with my XP Pro disk in. The board will boot up, detect all the IDE drivers, then it will just go to a black screen with a flashing underscore in the top left, the dvd/cd drive is set up as the 1st boot device. Anyone got any ideas on where I am going wrong?
