Gateway MX6920, Help

The dc power connector on the MB is shorting out. I cannot power up the PC and cannot charge the battery. When I press the power button the red light turns on for a second and then it dies, so the MB is ok for now. What are my options? 1) get a new MB? (9.00) 2) find a way to charge the battery. 3) or is there a docking station that works on this computer? I have looked on the web but cannot figure out if this computer supports a docking station/port replicator. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jbruno
