Just a quick note for anyone else getting the dreaded blue screen with
    the error message: STOP 0x0000007B
Abit neglects to mention either online or in any of their docs, (as of
this writing) that the included driver disk (3.5" floppy, NOT the CD)
with this motherboard, MUST be used for a fresh install, or even if
transferring PATA drive to this motherboard with Windows NT, XP or 2003
on the drive. During the Setup of a fresh install, one is given a VERY
brief window to press F6 and include the installation of "third party"
drivers ie, the miniport drivers required by the aforementioned OS's to
work successfully with the PATA ports on the GD8 board. (and others in
    this series from my understanding)
This driver IS included on the CD as well, but you will never get the
opportunity to view it (and the other necessary drivers) until you
install the drivers from the floppy in Setup...
This tasty bit of info cost me about two hours of "Googling" and a half
hour on hold to reach an unhelpful (and clueless) tech at Abit...,
here's hoping this will keep you from doing the same, and that this
    posting isn't redundant...
