Hi,
Im doing a fresh install of win xp home on my just built abit kv7 system. Ive got an athlon xp 2000. A pioneer dvd-cd rom 116 which is where im loading win xp home from. Two western digital 80 gig hard drives, theses are regular hard drives but i have two Abit seriele connectors hooking them up to the serial port, they are arranged in raid 0 configuration and I set them up in an array. Yhe array is vootable and thest where I want to put the os. I have two matched sticks memory from crucial. One of the newer nvidia geforce 4 video cards.

I downloaded the new via serial raid drivers from abits page and hit f6 during installation to load them from floppy.

I get to the part where windows is about to format the array and I get the IRQL_Not_less_or_Equal blue screen error. And and the Stop:
message followed by various codes.

It told me to disable memory shadowing or caching in bios, couldnt find any. Diable the bios virus scanner, it was already. I disabled bios PNP. Same thing happened.

Does anyone have any ideas or have you had a similar problem? Thanks

Same problem

With the Abit IC7 series of motherboards these symptoms appear if the DIMM voltage is left at default. The solution is to raise the DIMM voltage to
2.75 or 2.8 volts. I don't know whether it applies to Abit AMD boards but you could give it a try. There's a chance that you'll hear from God before Abit replies to you email.
