I’m a computer builder, and I’m just trying to finish an upgrade.\n\nThe new configuration is:\n\nMB GIGABYTE GA-8GPNXP\n1024 MB TWINMOS DDR 400\nVGA ASUS N6200GE\n\n2 IDE/ATA HD\n2 IDE/ATA CD-ROM\n\nOnly the optical drives and the disks are from the old PC.\n\nThe big problem is that I can’t boot from CD. I’ve allready configured\nthe BIOS to start from CD-ROM, but nothing...\n\nWhen the computer starts, it detects the OPTICAL DRIVES and the HARD\nDRIVES, it says that detected a bootable CD, but that message "Press\nany key to boot from CD ..." never apears ...\n\nI’ve tried all the possible BIOS configurations (I think ...) and I’ve\nalso tried using an Windows 98 statup diskette, but in that case the\nOPTICAL DRIVES are not detected ?!?!?!\n\nSo I can’t access the CD ...\n\nI’m desperate ... I don’t know what to do ... And the client is\nwaiting ...\n\nI’m doing this kind of job for some years and I never saw anything\nlike this ...\n\nIf anyone could help me with this problem I would be very grateful !!\n\nThanks !!
