how do I adapt 3-pin molex to 4-pin power connector?

    I know I can order adaptors, but I want to know how I can do this
    myself. The 4-pin is a Y cable adaptor and the 3-pin is a lead for a
    digital dock.

    I do not have a multimeter available, but I do have a male 3-pin
    connector and the 4-pin power connector.

    get them wrong, and you smoke your drive, and, possibly, the dock!!!

    I find the cables at lots of local stores, for <$4 each!
