How do I get rid of this appletalk dialog

I was just setting up a new mac (10.2.7). During this process, I
connected over appletalk to another mac. Now, whenever I log on to my
account on this computer, several dialog boxes appear to connect to
the other mac. Unfortunately, they won't take the focus, so I can't
hit Connect or Cancel. If I hold down "shift" during login, the
dialog boxes still come up, but at least login completes. Otherwise,
only the Finder and the dialog boxes appear and I can't do anything.

Holding down "shift" during boot-up gets rid of this. I've tried
trashing my prefs, and various Cache files, but I haven't been able to
fix this. Anyone have any ideas for getting rid of these appletalk
    connect dialogs?

    Thanks.
