How to take apart Toshiba Portege 7000

Discussion in 'Laptops' started by Andy Schweitzer, Dec 7, 2003.

  1. Does anyone know how to take apart a Toshiba 700CT/4.3?

I have one that won't boot. Repair guys said "system board" is bad. I
want to take apart to play with it. I unscrewed all screws I could see
on the back but it appears to be held together somehow around the
    battery jack.

Any suggestions? Are there any books that discuss laptop hardware?

    Thanks

    Andy

I do not have this laptop.
    However.
First, try dissasembling every screw you can, even if it seems to have
no relevance. (though only on the base)
Have you removed the keyboard, screws are often under there.

Of course ebay is another option, and may raise more money than you expected.
