HP 3390 and Print Server

The network card on my HP 3390 printer went. I had a flashing green and yellow light at the jack. I understand that the network card is part of the motherboard.

I got a printer server. The print server recognizes the printer as a HP 3390 and can print a test page from the server. My computers recognize the printer server. Yet I cannot print from the computers and receive a printer not found error message.

There was a post that said the HP 3390 cannot support a print server per HP?

If the print server can print a test page, I have to assume there is a solution.
