IBM t42 Infrared Hardware

    t42 Infrared Hardware

    I want a driver that will eneble me to use my infrared transmitter (that is ussually used for LANs) as a universal remote at home. A universal remote just scans through a range of frequencies till your device responds, and you tell it to stop once you are on desired frequency. There must be a way to use the computer to do the same thing. Any siggestions?
