Whenever I record using the microphone input, upon playback I hear this "whoop - whoop" sound similar to slowly turning blades of a helicopter. Note that ths anomoly is only on my own microphone recordings and is not heard on any other sound sources
My first thought was poorly shielded microphone headset that I was using and I switched to another known good one. No joy.
Anyone got any ideas other than putting tin-foil over my head to keep the cosmic rays out? Or should I just ignore the fluff of "on-board audio" and install a REAL sound card?
One other slight anomoly: the cheap-charlie no-name PSU puts out a slightly under-spec 3.3 volts (usually around 3.0 to 3.15).
System:
IC7 w/ 2.6/800 P4
2 pcs. Corsair PC3200 512M
2 - Maxtor 120GB SATA Raid
1 - WD 120 GB IDE1
1 - CD-RW IDE2
1 - DVD Rom IDE3
1 - DVD Burner IDE4
