Header says it all................

Sorry, if this is old news to anybody.

Have not tried it out yet. For BIOS changes, I am a wimp and prefer others to be the first guinea-pigs. TomG, do you have a lovable and furry alter-ego besides your sheep one ?

John Lewis

Actually, we have not one but TWO Guinea pigs! my kids and I pet them (hold your tongue, Jef) on a regular basis but they are not permitted near the computer because I found they have an immediate tendency to nibble on things that were never intended to be nibbled. That and the fact that they shed and I am not interested in having more junque in the computer than I already have...

I flashed to the new bios Wednesday evening and so far, have not had any issues. I have not really tried to make any tweaks over what I usually have in place so I cannot say that I get more from the new bios either.

Why do you always assume I'm going to pick on you for the mundane? This time perfectly normal pets...

You don't pick on me for having a (wo)man-eating Macaw:
http://pages.sbcglobal.net/jefn/miguel_9.jpg

Or a happy Butterball Calico cat:
http://pages.sbcglobal.net/jefn/callie_1.jpg

... so why should I pick on you for petting Guinea pigs? ;-)

And I am *always* cleaning feathers and fur out of my computers.

I think TomG is gun shy. Why in the world do you think that would that be???

Gosh, I haven't got a clue. He seemed perfectly normal the last time we "chatted" (about him needing a potty chair to use the toilet).

Why do you figure? Any ideas?

LOL! just looking over my shoulder WRT you and your sharp wit!

I hear an echo! That ain't no pussy! That is an amazing fur-ball!

She's a fur-ball all right. I don't know which is worse in the late fall... a molting parrot or a shedding Amazonian calico. And all of it ends up inside the computers.

When that picture was taken she'd already lost a couple of pounds. She's actually got a very petite frame -- the vet said she should weigh in at about 10 pounds when she tipped the scales at almost 17 pounds after I got her a almost six months ago.

After the last assortment of cats died off (from old age), I swore I'd never get another cat... then I went to the pound and came home with "Callie" -- the fattest imaginable 8 year old calico cat who was damned for a lethal injection if someone didn't take her home soon... The rest is history... and add to that a cat with a voracious appetite who is now on a very restricted diet.

a very unhappy cat who will be watching you in your sleep! mercy! key word with respect to her is Amazonian!

kudos your way for the rescue...

Jeeeezuz Jef,

What the hell is that hanging out of Miguel's beak? You need to have someone take a closer look at that. I had one of those growing out of mine........., never mind.....

And perhaps the cat needs to skip a meal? I have one of those and no matter how long he lays there on my pillow, I refuse to bring him food in bed. Only water and an occasional kitty treat.....

Diddo. I've got two survivors from the pound. One sleeps on his back about 23.9 hours a day on my pillow. The other one runs around the house like I am trying to cut his balls off, (even though I've already done that some time ago), insists on sitting in my lap while I'm on the toilet with my paper and then drinks out of the same toilet. Fucking cats, you got to love them.

Nah. You got other problems. Fucking the cats is Jerry's job...

Miguel's love affair didn't last very long:
http://pages.sbcglobal.net/jefn/miguel_10.jpg

And, with two of your own, you should realize by now that cats don't have "owners" per se... they have a *staff* to tend to their needs.

Not as bad as dog though. If an alien species is looking down from space, they probably thinking dogs are the masters and we are the servants:

We bring them food, we bathe them, we walk behind them on a leash and we pick up their shit.

Obviously, they are in charge.....
