ic7-g audio not working

I don't know what's going on but even though I've got the unboard audio activated in BIOS, windows 98 se refuses to recognize that my computer even has an audio device installed. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, please tell me how you fixed it.

BTW, I have updated my BIOS to revision 1.5, and still nothing

clear the cmos with the jumper and try setting things up again. make sure you have the onboard sound enabled in the bios after clearing the cmos.
