IC7-G New board boot problem

Assembled a new system but having boot problem - system locks up with screen message verifying DMI Pool Data. Tried re-installing latest BIOS - no different. Anybody any ideas? Rod.S

doesn't go past that message at all and try any kind of boot? when you flashed the bios, did you CLEAR the CMOS using the jumper with all power removed?

Correct, dooesn't go past the meassage. Didn't clear CMOS - can't find jumper near button battery as handbook describes, can you describe where it is - thought of removing battery but am nervous. Rod. "TomG" wrote:

the manual that I have and that is downloadable from my ftp server under /manuals, shows the CCMOS1 jumper down near the SATA2 connector and not near the battery. hope that helps, see page 2-7.
