i have a friend working on building a new ppc with this motherboard. he had a question about the thermal monitoring which i was trying to help him on. i can not find the info on the abit site or in his manual. he thinks the mb came with a wire to connect to the thermal monitor for the mb. in previous abit systems i received a wire with a 2 prong connector for the motherboard and the other end had a metal fin to attach to what you wanted to monitor. i looked for a similar connector in the manual but could not find it listed. i though i also read the monitor for this mb is in the mb? does the mb have a connector to attach to like other abit boards? he's looking for a way to use a temp display built into the case to monitor the system. thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Crash,

i looked for a similar
connector in the manual but could not find it listed.
It should be called a "Thermal Sensor Header", at least it is on my BD7II-RAID.

i though i also

Several are built-in, but an extra optional connection should be there I'd think.

If you need to build such a thermal probe, look here.......

IC7 board does not have the header to plug in such a probe.
