I recently upgraded (from a KD7-RAID, which has USB2.0 ports) to the IC7-MAX3.
After a lot of fiddling and driver installs, including WinXP-ProSP1, I now have the "fifth" USB controller in device manager, the USB2 "24DD" controller.
But whenever I plug in a USB2 device, WinXP pops up the "you have plugged a HiSpeed device into a non-HiSpeed port" error. I am certain the devices ARE USB2.0 (they worked two days ago on the KD7), but cannot get them to work (in 2.0 mode) on this mobo.
I have tried removing the USB root hubs, controllers, etc, from device manager, rebooting, and letting XP re-enroll them, but it doesn't make any difference.
Anyone out there run into this?
