Is an Xp 2400 multiplier locked ??

Discussion in 'AMD Overclocking' started by We Live For The One We Die For The One, Oct 3, 2003.

  1. Just i want to push the chip alittle faster, somthing like 2.2 if i
    can.

But still keep it stable and not tooo warm.

From what i read the Multi is the better option to do this rather than
    the FSB.

I can raise my FSB to 140FSb and get 2.1.

How would i go with the multiplier ?

Thanks for any help you may wish to give.

    Bye.

You need a special mainboard for lower multipliers enabled.
    On my kt3ultra it's locked.
If you manually unlock the cpu then lower multiplier and higher fsb(166)
will give you speed increase and performance gain.
