This is my second time asking about Hardware Doctor, and hopefully last.

I have an IS7, and after installing Hardware Doctor, I notice the PWM monitor is greyed out. Should I be concerned?

My SYSTEM and CPU temps are registering normally. But there is nothing showing for PWM, it is greyed out.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

check out Motherboard Monitor. it is freeware and is a *much* better monitoring app. get it at:

Checks the Tools->Configuration and see if you can check the 'Enabled' button. I've installed it several times and it's always been on by default, however, if I click the disable button, it becomes grayed out.

Now, I have a question -- What is the PWM anyway? It' s temps seem to jump around like crazy. Also my NB fan stays at 4xxx most of the time, but ever few seconds will jump to 80,000 or 40,000.

the PWM is Pulse Width Modulated power supply for the CPU core. the temps jump around along with the loads on the CPU. CPU works harder, pulls more juice, PWM works harder.
