I have a IC7 running Win2k-SP4 with (NO) problems including good sound quailty. All the Lastest Intel Drivers are installed.
Under the USB Section of Device Manager, there are (10) entries with (NO) yellow excalmation marks. Each device has the annotation "This Device is Working Properly". However, some of the devices have different sets of drivers.
Are all of these devices related to USB 2.0 and NOT USB 1.1 ?? The manual is unclear.
I am (ASSUMING) that if I connect a (TRUE USB 2.0 DEVICE TO ANY USB CONNECTION), it would be in some manner connected to the Hub and be running (TRUE USB 2.0).
Is this assumption correct ??
If not, is there a link for more IC7 USB 2.0 information ??

Just wondered if any of u guys after installing a IS7
mobo had any usb probs.
After bootup and installing xp if i look in device manager
i have a:
usb serial bus controller (which has a yellow warning symbol next to
it)
which when u open up properties
says no driver has been installed
this is before or after insatalling the intel drivers that came with
board.
Also the rest of the usb stuff 4 host controllers
and the 4 usb root hubs all under device manager are o.k
I have the same problem. Haven't been able to solve it yet. I'm running Win2K SP2. I've installed the Intel Inf drivers (whatever the hell those are, Abit just seems to assume that I know already or don't care) and ...
still
USB is unavailable-- it has a yellow icon next to it in Device Manager and no driver is installed.
On the Abit site, there's a USB driver, but it's only for 9x. What's up with that?
Has anyone else out there gotten their USB working on an IS7 board running Win2K? If you have, I'd appreciate a description of how you did it.
Thanks,
Andrew.
