K7V Dragon Plus mic not working. Why?

Discussion in 'Soyo' started by O'erclockd Proc, Feb 5, 2004.

  1. I'm trying to get a known good microphone to work with my PC. I have
a Soyo Dragon Plus K7V mobo with XP. I've verified that it's plugged
into the microphone input on the header with the speakers and line-in
inputs. I have the SPDIF plugged in as well, but I am not using it.
I can't find any hardware conflicts either. In the "Control Panel" ->
"Sounds" under "Sound Recording" the "Advanced" button is greyed out,
is that normal when a mic is plugged in? I've also verified that the
microphone is not muted. I know the mic works, and I've tried the
other inputs just to verify. Can anyone think of why this would not
    work? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have that tab greyed out, too and no MIC plugged in. Did you try to
    upgrade audio drivers?
