    Hi

I bought a Maxtor Diamond max 300Gb SATA 2 and tried to install it in my system.

the mothrboard recognized the HDD and show it`s model in BIOS.
    The Bios ver. is 1.90.
and my OS. is windows XP media center SP2
after many problems ,I partioned the HDD.
but in windows i couldn`t make new folders or copy files into it, and the windows got freeze!
and also when i wanted to reinstall the windows, when it said examining HDD, it got freezed!
after cheking the hard drive on other systems that worked with sata1 and getting sure of being healthy of HDD, I downloaded the nVidia nForce3/4 SATA RAID Driver (For floppy driver) on this page , then I tried to reinstall the windows, But again I had that problem.

what should should i do now?
should i have change my motherboard?
    waiting for your opinions...

plz help me...this problem is going to f*** me...!!!!

    Working?

    Hi There

Just wanted to find out if you have sorted out your problem?
I have the same mobo and I was considering getting a maxtor SATA2 and running it as a SATA1 for the time being, until I get a new motherboard. Wondering if it is a problem for everyone with this board, or if it is just an issue with your windows or drivers setup.
