Hi everybody,

I am looking to upgrade my XP2000 can anyone recommend the best CPU for my KD7-Raid?

I have not flashed the BIOS, so what are my options if I do & don't get the latest BIOS upgrade?

Thanks very much ;)

yes, anyone you want. 2500+ would be my choice.

Can it run upto 2800 or higher? And is the Barton range compatible? From what I can see the BIOS upgrade is needed for Barton support, but am not sure.

Thanks again

Yes. Yes. Upgrade the bios if you want, but it's not needed afaik unless it has some bugs in earlier versions. it sure won't hurt to upgrade it. Your only problem would come with a 200MHz default FSB cpu's since the board only supports officially 166MHz. With these, just use manual settings. That's what I always use anyway. I don't trust anyone else to set it.
