KR7A-RAID boot.ini file

  1. Hello
    I have set a multiboot system based on KR7A RAID main board.
    I have no problem to define Boot.ini for devices on the std ATA controler,
    but I cannot find the correct definitions for disk on the raid controler.
    My configuration :
    KR7A RAID +SCSI Adaptec 2940
    IDE 1 : Hdd 0 = Windows 98
    IDE 2 : DVD
    IDE 3 : Hdd 1 = Windows XP
    IDE 4 : DVD RW
    SCSI : Windows 2000
    : AGFA scanner
    : Tape drive
    HPT372 IDE1 and 3 Raid 1 disk (video datas)
    IDE 2 Files Data
    IDE 4 New test SYSTEM
    By changing bios boot sequence I can boot on this last drive , but I am
    unable to define the boot.ini file et so get error message and the boot
    sequence stop.

    Syntax used :
    [boot loader]
    timeout=5
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINXP="Microsoft Windows XP Pro"
    /fastdetect
    scsi(1)disk(6)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Pro"
    /fastdetect
    c:\boot.W98="Windows 98" /win95
    scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="XP test S0" /fastdetect
    scsi(1)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="XP test S1" /fastdetect
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=" XP test R0" /fastdetect
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS=" XP test R1" /fastdetect
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINDOWS=" XP test R2" /fastdetect
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(3)partition(1)\WINDOWS=" XP test R3" /fastdetect

    Of coarse I have set the required files on the disk with NTBOOTDD =
    HPT3XX.SYS

    Any help welcome

    Olivier
