Hi,

I bought an addition DDR stick of PC2100 256mb to add to my existing
256. Each chip worked individually but when put in together, the second chip was never recognized. I thought it was a compatibility problem between the brands so I bought another 256 from the same manufacturer (Corsair) but I'm getting the same result. I have tried it in every slot configuration there is. Any suggestions or ideas? It's not an OS problem because I tried with both Windows and Linux on my system.

Thank you,
Scott

The simplest thing to do is slightly decrease your FSB. Also you can try increasing the DDR voltage slightly. Worse case you can lower the cas latency, say from 2 to 2.5.

That's the generic answer. Others may have specific information regarding KR7A boards.
