What is the fastest amd socket a chip this board
will accecpt. Abit's site says up to 2100 Xp.
Is that the top or will it run faster chips but
at a lower bus speed?

Yeah it'll run any of them. But you want a Tbred B core or a Barton core for the best bang for the buck. Easiest to use would be a 2100+ B core or a 2400+. Cheapest would be the 1700+ B core. All these will clock about the same.
