KT2-Combo-L Hangs w/ FDC Failure - SIIG Firewire Combo

    While I'm waiting.......... for SIIG tech support to give me any ideas,
    has anyone successfully used a KT2-Combo-L (or ANY MSI mb for that
    matter) with a SIIG USB 2.0/400 Mbps Firewire combo card? Anyone else
    see a FDC failure? Anyone else figure the problem out (and hence become
    my hero)?

    So are you saying it is the SIIG card that causes the FDC failure?

    It would appear so. I tried the card in two different slots. I could
    always make it fail with the card in, even after removing the only other
    card I had suspicions of... a SIIG ULTRA ATA controller. (Needed more
    than four IDE connections.) I also updated the bios to the v1.3B beta
    version without any difference.

    Thoughts?
