KT6V - USB ports dont work

Hi All, I just purchased a MSI KT6V motherboard and have completed a clean install of windows xp (mce). Only problem is that my USB ports dont work. I have tried plugging a 2 different USB mouse' only so far but neither of them work on any of the 4 ports at the rear. I have checked the BIOS under 'Integrated Peripherals' -> USB controller and set to '4 USB Ports' and USB Device Legacy Support to 'All Devices'. p/s2 keyboard works so i assume a ps2 mouse would work aswell? Any help would be appreciated.
