LS,

I have KT7-RAID with tbred B @ 2222MHz (22x101). I found that the FSB is a very bad overclocker. Over 101 is not stable, and at 105 MHz it won't boot, even at lower multipliers.

eg, 19x105 (1995 MHz) does post, but doesn't get to the second screen (raid initialization screen, where the raid disks are listed)

I've read on Wes' site that 116 MHz should be possible, but my board just won't.

Is that a common issue?

I can get a second hand KT7-A for little money. Is that worth the effort? Will I get better OC results with KT7-A?

btw, I need to stick with the isa slot for my EWS64 and I don't want to buy new mem.

Thanks,

Mike.

If you are sticking with PC100 memory, a KT7A may not help you much. Even if you did get the fsb a few notches higher, you wouldn't get enough of a boost to make it worthwhile, IMHO.

Your cpu speed is quite good, and memory bandwidth is the bottleneck. My advice is to keep what you have until you can afford a new board and DDR.

I understand why you're trying to hang onto the EWS64, but ISA has gone the way of the dodo bird and you're going to have to give it up sooner or later.
