Anyone have any luck installing FreeBSD 4.8 or 5.1 on a Abit IT7 mothreboard that only uses USB for keyboard and mouse? No PS/2 mouse or keyboard ports even exist. I realize that it wasn't officially supported when I bought the board, but now I'm much more inclined to try and wean myself off of windows.
I've got and Abit IT7 and can't use the keyboard during the setup to control the setup. Is there a way to use a boot disk and load a FreeBSD USB keyboard driver before install? I don't feel that a remote install would be easy at this point with my available equipment, and my newness to *nix and FreeBSD.
Anyone know if this might have native support in release 5.2?
Thanks in advance for any input or direction!!
