I have a Dell Inspiron 600m that recently stopped working. When the problem first began the laptop would start up and run fine for about 25-45 minutes before randomly shutting down. Then when I would try to restart it would stay on for about 5-10 minutes. Eventually it got to the point where I couldn't power up for long enough to get to the BIOS, but all the indicator lights would work fine. Now it won't even begin to powerup. When it is plugged in the indicator lights don't light up. All these problems are the same regardless of whether the battery is in or not. As far as I have been able to find out the CMOS battery probly needs changing. I know my way around computer harware, but not laptops. If anyone knows where the cmos battery on an Inspiron 600m is, or where I should look for it, I would be much obliged.
