    Hi all,

I am having big probs with my motherboard when using two graphics cards in sli mode. I built the computer below with one card installed initially and booting was fine, installed windows XP & drivers and device manager showed no errors. I have also updated windows xp fully and also have got latest asus and nvidia drivers. When I place the second card in black pci-e 16x slot and reboot pc it boots fine into windows (Bios Ver. 0307) but windows doesn't find/recognise second card and nvidia control panel still says 'Add A Second Card For SLI'. I have contacted ASUS who have sent me a new bios ver 0501. After installation and rebooting the computer fails to reach post, just hangs with no beeps or any action whatsoever, but remove card in black pci-e 16x slot, reset, and the pc boots fine. I have also tried archived nvidia graphics drivers and asus beta bios ver 0402 and got similar results. I have also checked the bios of both graphics cards and they are identical.

    System Components:

    Asus M2n-SLI Deluxe
    AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Retail AM2 2.0GHz, 1000MHz FSB, 512KB, 64 Bit Socket AM2
    Arianet High Perf. 1GB DDR2 667 1GB DDR2 667 SDRAM PC2 5300
    Palit GeForce 7600GT 256MB DDR3 PCI-Express D-Sub and DVI (x2 hopefully!)
    Liteon SHW-160H6S-05C Lightscribe DVDRW
    Sansun Black 600W PSU - 20/24pin SATA
    Maxtor 6G160E0 160GB 7200 RPM SATAII/300 8MB Cache - OEM

Can anyone help me with my dilemma??

    Cheers!!

    hi mate,

i would consider just RMA'ing the motherboard, i have more or less the same setup up as yours ( different CPU + RAM ) and 2x 7600 GT's from different vendors and didnt come across that problem regardless of which bios i used (0202 - 0307 - 0402) my 2 cards where detected and drivers installed first time with no issue's at all, the only issue i have at the moment is trying to overclock with this very lame motherboard, could you tell me where to get this 0501 bios?

    overclocking motherboard my A%$%

    My System:

    Athlon X2 4800+
    Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe
    2x 512 Corsair XMS2 675 @4-4-4-12-CMD 1
    2x 80GB WD SATA HD ( RAID-0)
    2x 7600 GT's
    HP DVD840b DVDRW
    Pioneer 107D DVDRW
    SoundBlaster Audigy 2ZS
    Hiper Type R 580w PSU
