Having just changed my motherboard to an Aopen MK79G-1394, using a GForce 3
Ti 200 graphics card, I cannot get the monitor, a Dell D1025HE which is DPMS
compatible, energy star etc etc to shut down when entering power saving
mode. I have tried all sorts of BIOS settings (BIOS version R1.06), DPMS,
blank screen, V/H Sync +blank but all that seems to happen when Windows
(98SE) turns off the monitor is that the screen goes blank, the monitor
never enters its lowest power state as it did before the board change, ie
OFF. The desktop returns almost instantly when keyboard or mouse are used.
It does enter the OFF state when the PC is turned off.

Anyone know how to get the power management working properly ?

    Regards

    Andy
