Hi there,
Not the most cutting edge of systems, but I run a Core 2 Quad on a Asus P5Q SE PLUS.
I've been running 4 GB (2 x 2Gb) of Kingston Hyper-X 6400 RAM in it for a few months now with no problems, and decided to buy another set to bump it up to 8GB, occupying all 4 DIMM slots.
It appears however that DIMM4 is ill and my PC wont boot if any RAM is inserted into it (ioriginally thought that it was a RAM Voltage issue)
As such I'm running 6GB (2 paired, 1 single) which probably isnt taking advantage of Dual Channel.
Could anyone suggest a well priced replacement board for me capable of overclocking a little? I'm not a hardcore clocker, but bumping the Q9400 up to 3Ghz was never a problem.
I hear good things about the Intel i48X based boards but they seem rare/expensive.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
