msi kt400 ultra + bios settings, it shows cas 2.5 instead of 2 when I boot.

Discussion in 'AMD Overclocking' started by Steffen Grøhn, Nov 28, 2003.

  1. I have set the cas latency to 2 in the (new) bios on my kt4 mobo. I have
    corsair pc 2700.
I once got it to show 2 when I bootet, but later I had to reset to bios
defaults, and now I don't remember what setting I changed to fix it. I have
another machine with msi kt3, and that's ok. I tried to compare the bios
settings, but I don't understand what does the difference. Thanks for help.

  2. I have found the answer. The ras to cas latency couldn't be set to the
tightest setting at the same time as the cas was set to 2. When I set the
ras to cas to 3, the cas could be lowered to 2. (It could be lowered anyway,
but now it said so in the boot-up too.
