I recently ordered the new MSI Mega PC 651, with a 2.6Cghz Pentium 4
CPU with Hyperthreading and 800Mhz FSB.

The Mega PC 651 Motherboard only "supports" 400/533Mhz FSB.

My question is, will it work at all if i put the 800Mhz 2.6 p4 CPU in
there. Will it just limit it to 533Mhz? or will it just not work at
    all?

There are certain instances where you can "overspecify" your processor
for your motherbord and stil have it run fine. I was just wondering
if i need to return the CPU or just try it out.

    Thanks,

    Sal

  2. LOL I ordered the 800 first too, Its sat downstirs witing for them to
collect it. I will say this though you might want to step down to a
2.4 you get more bang you your buck and well I have a 2.6 and it runs
*real* hot. The Mega PC does not take advantage of hyperthreading anyhow.
