MSI Motherboard will not POST

MS-6570 motherboard. Version 1.0 K7N2G

Has an MSI D-Bracket. LED 1,3,4=RED. LED 2=Green

No Post or anything on screen.

MB taken out of case and tested with ram, processor and video only. Nothing else attached.

1 x long beep....pause 5 seconds...1 x beep...pause 5 seconds...etc. This is continous.

256mb Ram + Processor all work in another Test PC OK.

Nothing from MSI about errors for 1 long beep.

My conclusion is a faulty MB.

Fixed it

Motherboard is OK. Fault was Bank 5 on a 256mb DDR Ram that had intermittent problems. Replaced faulty ram with 512mb and computer posted OK.

The D-Link provided useful info which pointed to a faulty ram or incorrectly seated module. Henceforth the 3 red leds on 1,3,4 with 2 being green.
