Hi
I am new to this forum. I have a problem hopefully experts in this forum can fix it for me. I am using an Acer laptop and recently I purchased a new Hard drive that is PCI-E SSD. Now I am trying to install it in my pc but I cannot see any slot to install this in my laptop.

Please let me know if I will need any device or tool to install it in my laptop.

Thanks

Hi! If your Acer laptop doesn’t have an M.2 PCIe (NVMe) slot, that’s why the SSD won’t fit.

You have two options:

  1. Use a PCIe NVMe to USB enclosure – lets you use the SSD externally.

  2. Upgrade to a laptop or PC with an M.2 PCIe slot — systems with LGA 1700 motherboards support these drives natively.
Share your laptop model if you need help confirming compatibility.
