Need advice

Hello,

I am replacing my old vt6x4 mb finally. Has just outlived its usefulness. What I am looking at is:

IC7-G Max 2
2.6 Intel P4 with 800 fsb
2-256 kingston 3200 DDR
Radeon 9600 video card
400W case with extra fan

For now I will keep my existing IDE maxtor HD's (3) and my cdrw and floppy drive. I'm not interested in overclocking but will this hardware give me a good usable system that can later be upgraded to new hard drives and extra memory at a later time? Thanks.

If you're not planning to overclock, you'll save a little money with the vanilla IC7-G. Every bit as quick and stable. (Even if you do OC, it's a fine board.)

Otherwise looks fine, though I'd insist on a brand name PSU. High wattage and high quality aren't necessarily synonymous.
