I'm trying an experiment to see if I can program a BIOS chip for an Asus\nSP97-V using another non-Asus, motherboard. I have the SP97-V bios files\nfrom Asus but I need the bootblock code for that motherboard. If anyone has\nthis motherboard and time to help, the following steps are non-destructive,\ni.e. it doesn't change anything on your computer, and will produce a file\nthat can be emailed.\n\nDownload Uniflash 1.40 from:\n\nhttp://www.uniflash.org/download.htm\n\nCopy it to a DOS bootable floppy, boot from the floppy and enter Uniflash at\nthe DOS prompt. Highlight "ADVANCED submenu" using the arrow keys and press\nEnter, highlight "Write Boot Block to file" and press Enter, then press\nEnter again and it will save the boot block to your floppy with the filename\nBackup.boo. Press ESC twice to get back to the A:\> prompt or take the\nfloppy out and just reboot the computer. You can email me backup.boo by\n'despamming' my email address. I'm very curious if this will work.
