Need help w/ IAR 8051 C/Assembler!!!

Hi All, I have a couple of functions in assembly that links fine with the C-compiled object code, except the linker complained [I]External function... has no global definition[/I]. The warning goes away if I placed the [B]FUNCTION[/B] [I]label[/I], [I]value[/I] directive. However, the user's manual only said [I]value[/I] is function information. But what is it??? :confused: I'd really appreciate anyone who can shed some light. Tawen
