neo3 945P bios problem

    used the bios liveupdate app on the msi home page to update my bios. according to the dos window everything went fine.

    it completed all writes and verifications and finished with cmos destroyed, then restarted the box. on startup the msi logo screen (x wing thingy) comes up with the text, "press TAB to switch to POST or DEL to run BIOS setup. however no matter which i choose, the system will just show the first 2 lines of the bootup screen and hang.


    first line is the name of the new BIOS version:

    MSI 945PL Neo A7236IMS v1.9 Date 08/07/06

    second line is:

    Intel (R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13Ghz , Speed:



    the system just hangs here. resetting CMOS is no help. any ideas?
